Challenge

When you go to Christmas I want to give you a challenge, write down everything you eat, and you will most likely change the way you eat because you want it to be a good list of food. Then hang it up some where so everyone can see how you did on your eating during Christmas, because I know that it will be hard, but wait just because there are alot of sweets it doesn't mean you have to eat everyone of them. the way you eat now, and, what you do now effects what you are going to be in the future.

Endorphins

Endorphins are proteins that are similar to opioids. They are made by the endocrine system of many vertebrates. When they are released into the body, they cause a sense of well-being. They also act as analgesics -- that is, they can fight pain. They are sometimes named "natural pain killers". Endorphins were first found in 1970s. The term endorphin is a general name for many opioid-like proteins. (It consists of two parts: endo and orphin; these are short forms of the words endogenous metersorphine which means "a morphin-like substance which is produced by the human body". Basically what they do is they make you feel good when you workout or do some type of heavy labor. You feel motivated to keep going, and it raises your self confidence. I know that every time I finish a workout I feel like a million bucks!

Crossfit

The other day I got a chance to do a free workout at the new Crossfit place in Rockwall, it was pretty cool and I got to meet a couple of people as well. What we did was 21 reps of pull ups, 21 kettlebell swings and, 21 box jumps, then it just repeated down to 15, and then 9. I would say it was alot of cardio, and it felt pretty good. I thought it would be like 24 hr fitness but it was not anything like that, sure it had a couple of squat racks but nothing major, it really had everthing that a regular persons house would have, like a chin up bar, or some free weight. Really what I think Crossfit is trying to do is inspire people, and show them that you can do what ever you want to benefit your health, either at your own place or at a gym, but it is up to you to make the effert.

Sleep Is Good

This morning I did not wake up until 8:30 because we stayed up so late. But that is ok because with out the proper amount of sleep your muscles will not grow or develope, but if you sleep in to much you start to miss out on the life that you could have lived within those couple more hours that you slept. So sleep is good for you, but not too much. If you have a habit of sleeping in the best thing to do is go to sleep early and wake up early. A good amount of hours I suggest would be from 7-9 hours for a pretty healthy sleep.

Starving

Wow! I had an amazing Thanks Giving from vegies to pie. I had about 3,700 calories that day except it won't effect me I need that many calories everyday, LoL!!!
Anyway I had a great time.If I had that many and I watched mine, emagine how many calories people had and who did not watch them. But it is not always about the calories it is if you had the right nutrition from your vegetables and your grains.
Hope everyone who reads my articles enjoy's them, and had a great Thanks Giving. I know that I did not have to worry about starving.LoL!!!

Laziness

I was reading in a magzine about health and fitness.

There was this one article that caught my eye it said, "If you suffer from"......Then it gave a lot of different pains and diseases like, stress, diabetes, constipation, arthritis, and high blood pressure etc. Anyway they were advertising this machine that would exersice for you by moving your legs back and forth it was called the Exerciser 2000 Elite. I think this is pure laziness, just to lay on your back and let this machine move you from side to side.

I am here to tell you that, you do not need a machine to exercise for you, all you need is a little exercise a day, wether it be walk, sit ups, or even riding your bike.

Burden

A couple of weeks ago I was pulling my sled with 270lbs in the back of it. After I was done pulling it 100 feet my legs were exhausted and that got me to thinking," is that what some people feel like, pulling too much weight behind you." I'm hear to encourage you if you are pulling too much weight to try a calorie diet wear each week youreduce your daily calorie intake and you will tose weight. One way to watch your calories is to write down what you eat.A good web site is http://www.lifestylecompany.com/

Get Involved

Recently I joined for 24hr Fitness, and it has been awesome!!!
I really like to work out.
My best advice to you if you are out of shape is to get motivated start to watch your calories and decrease them. but if you want to lose weight do it slow like, 1lb a week so that way your skin will stay tight! If you lose very fast like, 45lbs a month your skin will be flabby but you will not have the fat.
TIPS:

Lower your calories, then when you have reached your certain weight level them out to a cosistant calorie and stay on it.
  • It is not all about the calories, you could have all the calories you need from chocolate, but you are going to kill yourself that way. You need all the other food groups like your fruits, grains, vegetables, calcium, fats, saturated fats, and sodium, but all these things have limits of how much you should eat of that certain food group. One good web site is http://www.mypyramid.gov/
  • When you are losing weight you probably do not want to lose muscle or bone, so go to some store like this .

Are you Saturated?

Animal Fat
Monday, my dad and I went to our public library in search of nutrition facts, weight training, and anatomy books or videos. If you want to know about nutrition, the best advice I can give you is to read, and if you get a chance go to your public library do so.

Anyway, we ran across a cool video called,

Here’s to Your
Health
Nutrition:
Eating to Live or
Living to Eat
&
Obesity:
The Slimming of America

Here are a few tips I found in the video,

· If your cholesterol is too high then you could be putting yourself at risk of
kidney failure, heart attack, and strokes.

· If your cholesterol is too low then you could be risking colon cancer.

· Saturated fats, or animal fats, are solid at room temperature and examples include
beef, pork (ham, sausage, and bacon), steak, chicken, turkey, and fish.

· Chicken, Turkey, and Fish are better than the beef and pork. Dark chicken meat is
not as good for you as the white meat because it contains more animal fat.
Fish is the best choice if you can afford it!

· Oils, liquid fats, are better than animal fats and are called poly and mono unsaturated fat.
Some certain types of oils are canola, safflower, and corn. Basically, unsaturated fats are
the healthy fats. Saturated fats should be extremely limited.

· A healthy cholesterol number is 190-200 mg per deciliter of blood plasma.

· The average American’s total cholesterol is pushing
around 220.

Fact of Life

Your thoughts determine your destiny .
Basically if you think you are fat or lazy and you keep dwelling on that then eather you are or you are going to be unless you change your thoughts and do something about it.

what I want to do and become

When ever I grow up I want to be a bodybuilder, nutritionist, massage therapist, and personal fitness trainer.I want to be this becuase they all kind of connect like being a bodybuilder leads to personal fitness trainer then to nutrition then while I'm a bodybuilder I can give people massages learning about bones, and muscles.

what I eat for the day

Breakfast: I always have fruit! Then I'll have either oatmeal, Raisin bran, Go lean, or eggs. To drink I have juice, milk, or water.

Lunch : I usually have either a turkey sandwich, or steak. Fruit I have strawberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon, or orange. Vegetables carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and a salad with no dressing.

Dinner: I'll have anything with vegetables.

This is what I eat daily!
